Sebastopol investigators Monday were trying to determine who started three separate overnight truck fires and were seeking the public's help looking for witnesses or information.
The first fire was reported at 12:52 a.m. Monday on Leland Avenue at First Street. Officers found a 1991 Ford Ranger pickup parked on the side of the street, with its interior cab burning.
The truck was destroyed.
About 20 minutes later, officers got a call about another truck fire, this one parked on Palm Avenue at Swain Woods. The bed liner of the 2002 Ford 150 pickup was burning and damage was minor to moderate.
At 3:46 a.m. Sonoma County sheriff's deputies were called to Llano Road at Ludwig Avenue for a burning 2003 Nissan utility truck.
Deputies contacted Sebastopol police, as they'd already had two such fires in the area. The truck had been stolen from Petaluma, Sgt. Ken Troutfetter said.
This vehicle also was destroyed by the fire.
Troutfetter asked anyone with information to contact police at 829-4400.
