VILLAGE HOPECORE: Ending Poverty in Kenya with Small Loans, Training, and Trust

This is an extraordinary work by three high school seniors who shot 17 hours of footage during one week with villagers in Chogoria, Kenya, and, after a year's work, have completed an fascinating 40 minute documentary about how microlending works in rural Africa, as well as a warm and intimate look at village life.
Microlending means making small, low interest, no collateral loans to rural poor to start income generating businesses, improving the local economy and, as loans are repaid, creating a self-perpetuating fund.
Microlending is the most important recent advance in the eradication of poverty.
