Is it just me or is it crazy that our apples are rotting on the ground because juice concentrate from China is so cheap? The article in the PD today says that most of the juice in our markets is made from concentrate from China.
It's not as if there aren't a lot of people in China who could use fresh or dried apples. There is also a lot if honey imported from China and it is often adulterated. It has been banned, but China exports to other countries who then import to the US. I can imagine that the apple juice concentrate might also be somewhat questionable as well.
What a whacky world when so many go to bed hungry and we let good fruit rot on the ground.
