My Dearest Friends,

I was just notified that a sweet, no issues, loving, healthy 17 year old, Oriental cat has been brought to my nearby Santa Rosa, California shelter to be euthanized. He was dropped off by an elderly lady who claims she can no longer take care of him. I don't know anything else other than what the rescue organization shared with me:

1. He is fully healthy
2. The elderly lady dropped him off with the instruction to euthanize him

Today, I spoke with the shelter. Their initial exam indicates that "he might" be experiencing renal failure. So, his health is a mystery because I have gotten conflicting stories about the cat's health. He is scheduled for euthanasia on Sept. 24th unless he is rescued.

This is heart breaking, especially when you see this little boy's face. Please contact me if you have any connections here in California... northern or southern ... the rescue groups will arrange to transport him to the right home. I would take him. However, I already have 2 cats. His name is Cameo.

Please email me if you have any suggestions of where this little boy will be safe to live out his twilight, golden years.

Thank you for your time and attention,
Sasha
