Does anyone see anything wrong or ominous in the idea of people who have no idea of American life being offered citizenship for enlisting. Will their loyalty be to the military or the constitution?

There is a long history of foreign nationals directly helping US military in wartime. This includes Vietnam, Cambodia, WWII, etc.
Often, these (usually local) soldiers provided VERY critical skills and yet, were not granted any help after we 'used' them for our wars. I think its best to be 100% honest about the situation and ensure that we recognize their support of our military AND by example, our nation. Citizenship is a proper privilege as well as normal military pension etc.

I don't see the disjoint between helping our military and supporting our nation as a whole. I would rather NOT have our 400 military bases spread all around the world - THAT is a real issue. THAT should be fixed as we are way too involved around the planet and need to keep our huge military to service the system. But clearing path to citizenship for someone who served in the military is not an issue for me.
