:heart::cow::heart::cow::heart::cow:
It always helps to end a period of mourning with an event, a celebration a revelation, an epiphany - and in this case, a New Cow!
No mooin' machine will ever replace our mascot Mooonbeam who disappeared from 107.3 KOWS LP's Oxidental studio several months ago, but it sure helps to have a Surrogate Angel peering lovingly, protectively from our second story window above Howard Station Cafe.
A compassionate, thoughtful DJ named Lisa (she does a blues show Blues After Midnight, 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 11 pm to 1 am) spotted a young heifer for sale at a local garage sale and after carefully checking for an existing brand (she wanted to make sure it hadn't been rustled), she purchased her and brought her to her new corral, aka KOWS studio, in the heart of Oxidental, Cowlifornia.
Of course our new sweetie was warmly welcomed by Wanda Bukowski and Georgette S. Kowfman who have watchfully, albeit lovingly monitored our programming since the Bovine Insurrection and Occupation some months ago.
Relations have been surprisingly good (symbiotic almost) between the Four Stomachs Good, and the One Stomach Bad Enough camps, and the new addition was warmly welcomed by everyone!
Pictured below is DJ Laura Goldman (whose "Living Room" from 5 to 7 pm on Fridays feeds the spirit as well as those who just feel like a nosh), and our most recent rumenatin' roommate.
SHE HASN'T BEEN NAMED YET AND WE'VE DECIDED TO HAVE A NAME THE COW CONTEST! FIRST PRIZE WILL BE TWO CDS of the Mystery Train's Engineer's choice AND SECOND PRIZE WILL BE ONE CD.
The name will be selected on Oxidental's first day of measurable rainfall!
For those of you who don't have a clow and would like to learn mooore about Beau Vines, we inclood the following"
