When there is nothing you would not give to receive the medical treatment you or a loved one needs for life profit is simply extortion.

Our government is denying healthcare access to its citizens on a systematic basis. This can only be viewed as tyranny. In this case the tyranny of corporate power and their right to astronomical profits over the human right to life of everyone else. In California the price of keeping 2.4 million uninsured is $3,195,818.

Keeping workers without access to healthcare is a means of reducing their demands for a fair share of their production. In the last thirty years the increase in worker productivity has far exceeded the increase worker compensation. As the BART transit workers just experienced, health insurance can just be taken away.

These 19 California members of Congress have not supported the only effective public option for healthcare access, Medicare-For-All or Single-Payer. The other 14 California Democratic house members have co-sponsored HR676, and 66 members of our state legislature have already passed it twice.
