SWINE FLEW

Swine flew east
and Swine flew west
he oinked with joy as I got dressed
I saddled up commenced to ride
he kissed Marie
- she almost died!

Swine flew north
and Swine flew south
he flew straight up the River mouth
the Redwoods shook the Steelhead cried
I bought some chips -
(I like 'em fried)

Swine drank merlot
then Swine drank beer
he straddled
the ionosphere
a Black Hole sucked
then spit us out
too many bones,
the cutthroat trout

Swine loves cows
adores the goat
Swine flue chokes
the chimney's throat
Swine flew chanting
joined a sect
he worships Harry Partch and Brecht

Swine flu fever
runny nose
headache, chills
that's how it goes
Swine went to market
wrote this poem
now this little piggy
is coming home
