I am hoping to find some guidance in connecting with the lesbian community in Sonoma County.
I detest alcohol and bar like environments make me uncomfortable. So where does a nice gal make friends?

Oh man, I have a very close gay female friend who complains about the same thing all the time. I am not sure. But depending on your target age group, I could hook you up with a few friends I have in Santa Rosa...

As a guy, I can attest that many ladies who like ladies attend the Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Rosa. 4 services on Sunday, no alcohol, nice women of all ages and lesbian social activities planned monthly. Check it out.

That's a really good question. You know what would be nice is if we could have a coffee shop to meet at. Maybe after more people post we could all meet for coffee and tea?:):

There are lots of lesbians (and gay men) just walking around the streets of Guerneville daily. They are by the beach, working in stores, hanging out on the corner, almost anywhere you can toss your eye there will be someone who can point you in the direction of a lesbian or two. Happy hunting.
I'd like to meet some other dykes, too, and i shared a good laugh with some in the Guerneville General Store the other day who were trying on hats with wigs attached. It reminded me how much i miss that kind
of interaction, which seems to work well only among womyn. I met an old friend from San Francisco several months ago, but she's never responded to my calls or emails. Maybe all of us responding to this could agree on a time to meet at one of the nice coffee shops in Guerneville.

yes it is awkward. i am a young 64 and can't seem to find other single lesbians to meet. i know you are out there. my friends all say i am worth it, and i guess i do too. come out , come out wherever you are.:Yinyangv:

I am 36 and a bi/dyke and new to sonoma, would love to meet other lesbians. the catch for me? I am chemically sensitive and can't hang out in most inside places- but if there are any nice lesbians who are scent free and like to hike. i am in petaluma and would love to make some new friends! :wink:
