I was just wonderring.
I do that alot.
I went to the Sonoma County Fair today. Went by myself. Had good reason to go, to see my 15 yr kid who has been helping her 4H freind with a lamb for the past 4 days.
Still, going t the Fair alone seemed daugnting to me.
At the same time, I thought that maybe, wow, maybe I might meet some other solo to share some fun with.
So I wondered, how many of you out there go to the fair solo with hopes you might meet someone. I saw quiet a few single folk just sitting around, maybe open to some compamy. Being somewhat shy and also respecting a persons privacy. I just did a lot of smilimg.
So i guess my question is, do any of you other folks out there go to the fair alone with hopes you might meet a new friend?

the worst place to go to meet a new friend must be the fair. its so noisy and busy and full of couples and families and carnies! i live behind the fairgrnds and the noise makes me crazy. Wow, thanks for the offer. If I manage to get back into town before it`s over I just might take you up on that! Yer right about the animals. Pretty cool. Those were some real beautiful cows. I missed the plant show thing because I wanted to head west before dark. Easier driving in the light. The plant show is always really good, and the earlier in the fair that you catch it, the better. (fresher). They have a real good plant sale the day after the fair ends. You are really close for that if you are into getting a real good deal on some plants. That`s a real early a.m. trip.
I actually had a real good time yesterday. Suprisingly good food(Johny Garlics Pasta) lots of good music and good vibes. And beautiful cows.

Hopefully you were there long enough to catch some of The Wailing Souls show???? They travelled all the way here to Santa Rosa from Kingston Jamaica and did not disappoint. Great roots Reggae and dancehall sounds. It was unfortunate that it was not very crowded, because they performed so marvelously!!!! I was lucky enough to go with one of my best girl friends, and we danced and had such a time. But I'd have gone myself too. Just to see the show. and the animals. and the flowers, that's always my favorite part :dancingrose: Oh yeah, the little dogs in the Fido 500 were cute too (if you like that kind of thing) :puppy::pant::dox:
On The Wailing Souls Reggae Band Official Website (https://www.thewailingsouls.net/) you can hear many classic of their songs, see great photos, and videos, etc..
I highly seeing recommend Carolyn Wonderland at the fair on Saturday August 1st, at the KRSH sponsored blues festival. She's GREAT
