My wife found a blind cat (that we feel may have been dumped) a few blocks from where we live. We can't keep it because we're only allowed to have 2 cats in the apt. complex that we reside in, which we have already. The cat is small to medium in size and has a silver color with a striped tail. Its very sweet (purrs when you hold it) and looks like it may be atleast partial Egyptian Mau. We have put up several posters but haven't received any calls. We went to talk to a representative at the Humane Society, but they don't believe that it would be adopted because of it being blind. And we don't want to take it to the animal shelter because we fear that they would euthenize after a couple of weeks. We're thinking about Brighthaven Sanctuary but we're not sure if they'll take it in. If anyone can offer any suggestions it would be much appreciated. I would be happy to email a photo of the kitty upon request. Thank you.

Unfortunately, my house is more than full or I would take her. I already have a blind cat I took from a neighbor before he took her to the shelter. I'm writing on this post in the hopes I can talk someone who has room in their home and heart for a feline companion into taking her. Dolly (my blind girl) has few special requirements: Don't let her out, keep the toilet seat closed, don't move the litter pan to new locations and try not to move major pieces of furniture around too often. Dolly is a delight, she's affectionate, funny and the boss of my Bichon. She holds her own with the other cats (all of which were here first) and has never had an accident in my house. She catches flies (she can hear them) and loves those cat toys that are made of crinkly paper. She actually jumps onto the couch and the bed. I'll be more than happy to talk to anyone who would take her on how to get her quickly adapted.

Hi Christine,
Thanks so much for your interest and concern. We are still attempting to communicate with someone at Brighthaven. Hopefully they can assist with this sweet little angel of a cat.
Thanks again and take good care,
Patrick
