Of late a friend and I have noticed that after sleeping or sitting in the car for a long time it is very painful to put weight on our feet for about 15-20 seconds upon first standing. They seem weak, and it is very painful on the top and bottom of my feet. I have been to the dr. and he says it isn't planters fascietis.

Anyone have any ideas what it might be and what sort of treatment would be effective.

thanks for any hints

what kind of shoes are being worn. throw out the flip flops. and keep processed foods involving salt out of diet. lower salt intake too. check for things like rheumatoid arthritis and massage can help too. if u need a good massage therapist. call 707 322-7622 they work for 25.00 for 45.00 minutes. also ice it several times a day. some thing like naprosyn or ibuprofen could be considered also.

Stretching your achilles tendon and wearing shoes with more arch support may be helpful.

put a tennis ball by your bed and roll you foot around on it when you wake up in the morning. also toe separators that are used when putting on nail polish are a good trick.
