I live in Bodega Bay and went to see the fireworks.... The fog started rolling in so I drove to Sebastopol. I have never seen Sebastopol's celebration in the 13 years I've been here.

Music, dancing, kids having fun, individual's fireworks displays... What a great time! The fireworks at Analy were awesome. Great choreography and the "finale" was just spectacular!!!!!

Afterwards, the Sebastopol PD had the whole traffic/pedestrian madness fully organized.

I do have to say.... smaller town celebrations are more fun.....I had a great time and will definitely reccomend it to others!

Way to go West County!!!!! A great way to celebrate our country's birth....

Your sentiment and enthusiasm are understandable, they do a great job here but if you and thousands of others "recommend it" far and wide, we will cease to be a smaller town. Sebastopol is already pretty much maxed out. More people coming here for anything creates pressure to build, widen roads to expressways, pave more fields into parking lots... this is how nice, desirable locations become the places you want to flee from and seek out nice desirable locations. Just let it be something special if you can...
