Some folks said Michelle's moving on is like losing Floyd the Barber or "Sam" at Cheers. Change came fast, literally within a few hours of the idea. I didn't realize how big an impact quiting her job would have, especially beyond Occidental into the greater part of West County. So many people have called (that she didn't get a chance to tell before giving 2 week notice and taking off for New York on vacation) that I thought putting the word out here might help.

Michelle is now settling in behind the bar at Rocker Oysterfellers in Valley Ford.

After 19 years at the Union, the last 15 at the bar, she made a lot of friends there. The community response to her decision to advance her career has been overwhelming (unprecedented IMO). Michelle is really blown away by the support of so many people and conveys her gratitude for so many good years with y'all.
See you in Valley Ford.

NEW FRESH FISH MARKET IN VALLEY FORD-Next to VF Hotel and in front of the VF Volunteer Fire Department is the old VF Bank building. Brandon and Shona, owners of Rocker Oysterfellers, will be opening a fresh seafood market in the old bank later this month.
