Once again I am participating in the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk benefiting the Susan G Komen Foundation. This year I am participating as a crew volunteer staffing the event and helping out the walkers on the event.

I just learned that the event is still looking for and is need of caring and compassionate medical crew/staff for the event.

We need medical ( doctors, nurses, EMT's, paramedics, physician assistants) and sports med (podiatrists, chiropractors, physical therapists and certified athletic trainers). There is continuing education units/credits available for some medical disciplines and volunteer service hour certificates for all health service members who may need it.

The event is October 2-4, 2009. The website is Welcome to the Breast Cancer 3-Day: Home (https://www.the3day.org).

It is an amazing 3 days of laughing, crying, dancing, helping and being in a compassionate and caring community striving to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

Please let me know if you are interested in crewing with me or know of others who might be interested. I can fill you in on more details. Feel free to pass this information along to those you know who might be willing to help out.

Thanks

Margi

Thank you for posting this. I too am volunteering for this event. When I did my first walk 4 years age, it changed my life! This year I am crewing and walking again as well. This can be the most rewarding experience you could participate in. Our mission is to end Breast Cancer! The medical crew is desperately in need of medically trained volunteers. Won't you please consider getting your continuing education units (28 for Nurses) this way!!! Warmly, Ellen
