My friend and I, who are fairly new to town, went to the Wine Emporium last Thursday to buy a bottle of wine. We were delighted to find out that you can also buy wines by the glass, beer and a few yummy small plates. We had a lovely time chatting it up with some interesting folks and people watching on main street. This is just what we have been looking for, not a bar, not a restaurant but a cute place to go after work and try new wines. The owner says he will be open thurs-sat until 9pm. The Wine Emporium is on Main Street in Sebastopol, we had a great time and we will be sure to go again.

My date and I went there a few weeks ago and it was such a nice experience. Both glasses of wine suggested by the server were wonderful and were exactly what I enjoy. My boyfriend had a local beer. Next time I would like to bring friends and play one of the board games they have available and maybe try a yummy snack.

Another real nice place for a glass of wine, Gourmet au Bay on Hwy 1 in Bodega Bay. It`s a wine shop, good selection. They sell by the glass and they also have what they call wine surfing, somthing like five tastings for a reasonable price. Right on the water next to the Tides Wharf. Outdoor enclosed deck right on the tideline. Always beautiful especially around sunset. They`ve been getting some nice acoustic music in there and have cheese and crackers and some other stuff.
