Mykil, I've read your posts over the past three years or so, and you always seem to be "all about you ". You certainly don't have problems with low self-esteem! It gets rather tedious when all you seem to post about are your "conquests" with women, who find you irresistible, or you're angry at someone who doesn't see "The World According To Mykil". I've seen you & don't think you're 'all that', and you certainly don't bother to use the English language properly, which shows either a lack of education or a lack of caring about who's going to read what you've written. Either way, you come out a narcissist. Not the best description of someone, in my opinion.

Stop taking everything so personally, think about someone other than yourself for a change, and try to use "spell check" and other grammar assistance when you post. "Sediment" is tiny debris that settles on the bottom of a container of a mixture that isn't fully dissolved---I believe you meant "sentiments". Getting the "jest" of things might be what you meant, if you were trying to say that you wanted to get the "jokes" or "humor" of the person's post---maybe you meant "gist" meaning the "true meaning in a nutshell"...? After those two errors, the rest of your post goes to hell in a hand basket, with regard to spelling words, the tenses of words---I'd suspect that you were in a typing frenzy, very caught up in what you wanted to say, but in fact, you came out sounding like a angry person who can't spell.

I don't believe you're interested in debating, I believe you're looking for someone to find fault with, the "faults" being traits about that other person that don't suit you. You, and every human being, has faults. Deal with yours or you will probably be miserable for the rest of your life---your choice.
Good luck~
Paula/Vet-To-Pet

Just because I speak my mind does not mean I have no respect! When I read your post I can assume the same from you if I choose, I just know better, I know you feel this way in your heart, I just refuse to agree with your sediments towards life. Respect to the fullest intent allowed by your god and mine is a given if you don’t see this in my writing you are just not trying very hard!!
AS far as you life choice, yes I would be curious to see what exactly makes you tick, without reference to the bible in every line you write so as a simple minded individual as myself can take heart and truly get the jest of what is on your mind and what might make you tick. AS for what you just wrote, I cannot decipher what the hell is going on in your mind. You are not marries to a woman you love? You where marries twice, yet you divorced, so in your own words does this not mean you never loved you first or second wife. If I am following along with you own words this is what it is saying, yes I have been paying attention!
The marriage between two men is important for character reference towards your true mentality, so yes I will hold it against you, just not in the way you see fit in your mind to describe what I have the intent to do with the information. It shall totally give reference to your own true self and how I shall respond to every question I ever answer, also every aspect of any debate that may arouse on this site. For this is what we are doing is it not? A good debate has to be an open book as long as all parties are learning and fully understanding this in itself is the principle we are here for in the first place. Sometimes name calling gets involved and people get a little out of line, but still this is what it is all about! So I may not agree with anything you ever say, but yes I am hoping there is mutual respect throughout our little references community debates and in the hopes we shall never burn a bridge over a little miss communication, meaning someday soon we may actually meet in person at a social event of some sort and shake hands and maybe even hug! Maybe someday even the whole world may decide to respect one another as well.
There on occasion area few people that chime in that I would love to spar with and learn as well. I love to see people get right in and really take a bite out of what is going on, it really is too awful bad most disappear. There truly is room for all opinions and egos here, like I said this is what makes a great debate!

Paula, I care as much about grammar and spelling as anyone, but to coerce Mykil to hold to the Strunk and White is a bit lofty.

For example, a lot of people like to go for a walk. It would hardly be proper for me to run in circles around them, challenging them to run a six minute mile with me.

Similarly, Mykil is on his own walk, his own pace, his own style, and he sounds like he's totally loving the life he lives -- and he's content with the way he writes.

Likewise, sex for sex sake is a pace not all of us can keep up with. Some do, some don't.

Mykil is all that to those who think he is; the ones who keep pace with him. Not everyone will. Neither is worthy of a put down.

Paula I love you dearly; you are a bit old for me but what the hay, I’ll give it a try you wanna f…? HA! :):

I do hear what you are saying and as well understand where you are coming from. I know where you are coming from because I have empathy from hell. I have so much empathy for the person standing next to me I truly believe the word empathy is should be outlawed and no one should ever be able to use it again!!! The way I feel for my brothers and sisters of this world is over the top, I do anything for a perfect stranger, I pretty much furnish their houses for practically nothing, and I really take care of mankind when I get the opportunity.
It truly does my heart good to hear you voice your opinion of me thou I must say this. I love to hear people dog the hell out of me and try to bring me down a notch of two due to their own version of what I am writing along with what they are getting out of what I am writing and how it truly makes them feel about me in particular. A few weeks ago I had another great ploy try to rain on my parade and I tell you I had to laugh out loud to no extend and really just let the joy run thru my soul. Sooo in a short version of what I really want to get across with my existence on this big blue ball, I for one love to hear all feedback that is directed towards me. This puts me over the edge on occasion, but I truly know where you are coming from and thank you for pointing out my faults in this lifetime. Good feedback, negative feedback I love it all, Capricorn moon makes me feel all warm inside no matter, so peace love and friggin granola my lady!

Maybe we should have a Mykil Roast Post then everyone may have turn at telling me what a god awful dog I may be at times, or all the time for that matter eh?

Oh and the spelling thing hmm yes Paula the spelling thing is a little hypercritical don't ya think? You all need to let loose of your controlling aspects in your lives and learn to loosen up, if a few misspelt words is going to ruin your dayz you might want to see a shrink. And I am serious about this. Think about all the harm a few miss spelt words is causing you all. If you can’t stop and ask yourself to stop then you truly need help. Is the spelling thing so inbred into your minds that if misspelt one more word you could just blows a vein in your heads you might really need to start taking some sort of medication. Stop, back away for m the computer until you can act like a real human being without the need to control every aspect of this dam world! Misspelt words happen get over them and stop harping on them; as far as misspelt words go it is right up there with have a bible quoting war. It is the little things in life that start these stupid wars we fight and I am thinking somewhere down the line someone misspelt a word and that is when all the troubles of the world began!!~!! I bet when I miss spelt al those words you really had hate running thru your veins and this is not only wrong it is bad, learn to love and the misspelt words won’t matter as much, I am truly thinking if the misspelt words matter to you all this much you need to learn to love all over again!

Mykil, she makes some good points. Your chronic misspelling really is disrespectful. I know you think it's cute and so does Shelley, but that makes two of you. The rest of us think it makes your posts unpleasant to read. I often skip over your posts for that reason.

So then Jeff; why do you think it drives you crazy sooo to the point that you can’t even read the posts? Seriously, I am intent on finding out why there has to be so much control in written text! What did they do to you guyz in these schools you went to? Paula I can see, she is older and probably went to catholic school were if she wrote something a little off she got her knuckles slapped with a ruler, but you Jeff? I am hoping this is your only controlling aspect in your soul and you can learn to overcome this small controlling aspect in your mind dude!!! HA!!!!
I write for me, writing is my only release on life, this is why I write the way I do, and the rest of my day is for having empathy for others. So in a short version again, writing is truly the one thing I do for myself so by all means everyone just pass my posts on by if you cannot let loose enough to get over he misappropriate spelling…

I do love his misspellings. I spend my life with rules. Say this this way; spell it that way; did it convey the thought and was it enough to emphasize the meaning or is it just able to connect letter of the law not intention.

Whew!

Then I read Mykil; I laugh and enjoy. I remember my severely dyslexic kids who won't write because they receive the same response as Mykil and are frustrated by everyone's need to "correct" and "control" instead of just enjoying. Brilliant minds, creative poets trapped in minds that see letters on pages not words and thoughts.

Phonetics are a gift. Use them, enjoy them.

Here in the US we misuse words all the time. If we are going to misuse them and redefine them without consensus then why not misspell them?

What is it about having fun and losing control (cause no harm of course) that seems to be such an issue?

When did it become disrespectful to express one's view and write from one's soul?

Does one's soul require spelling to convey its heart?

Are we not allowed freedom of speech? (again I like to say cause no harm) And where does it say that speech is required to meet any one's parameters btu the speakers?

Do you not recognize Mykil as the initiater of the new Shakespearean movement. Shakespeare made up many of his words and defined them as he chose. He wrote from his personal space for himself and convinced men to be what they were not.

Also when I read Mykil and it is all spelled correctly I realize he has put unbelieveable effort into conveying his message within and to world standards and it means even more to me.

So enjoy it Mykil. I don't enjoy reading your writing. I have no hang ups about rules. I'm loose, dude!

I think you have fun with it but I don't. That's all.

I have no trouble speaking with you in person. I think you're likable in person. I usually come to Waccobb with a only few minutes. I want to read fast and write fast if I reply. I don't read lengthy posts that need deciphering before I can figure out what the poster actually intended to say.

because I have empathy from hell.

Mykil not that you know a whole lot about hell, since you are such a loving beast. THERE IS NO EMAPTHY THERE!

Oh and the spelling thing is a little hypercritical don't ya think? You all need to let loose of your controlling aspects in your lives and learn to loosen up, if a few misspelt (misspelled) words is going to ruin your dayz (days) you might want to see a shrink. And I am serious about this. Think about all the harm a few miss spelt words is causing you all.

Mykil, if I remember correctly I was probably the first person to mention your atrocious spelling habits...yay for me.

Allow me to explain again, now that there are more on my band-wagon.

See, it causes us all a bit of angst because, well, we spent 17-18 years in school. Every year being taught how to spell. Even attending, or entered into a spelling bee. Being impregnated with verbs & nouns.... i before e except after c...when to use a period, comma, and exclaimation point.

And in all those 18 year or so, no teacher ever said to us...
Think about all the harm a few miss spelt words is causing you.

And, if a teacher ever did say such a thing they would follow it up with: " people would think you are illiterate, they would think you are sloppy and that you don't care if the people reading your writing perceieve your message correctly or at all."

...That we are confused as to what you really mean and that your writing does not make sense sometimes. Which causes some to read and re-read your message only to throw our hands in the air giving up attempts. All the while having wasted so much time and effort in to understanding what you mean.

We do give the writers on wacco that, ya know. Our time.

Your immaturity towards grammer, punctuation and spelling. Kinda rub those of us who put an effort, and a little pride into a job well done, the wrong way I guess.

As with anything ...Do it right or don't do it at all. Especially if its done on purpose.

Spelling and writing well, is a right, according to the Constitution
(It seems wasted on some)

You say your writing is for you? Get a Journal! Hand-write what you mean there. Then go back in about 1-5 years and try to figure out what you meant. Bet you can't.

You want us to read what you write? Stop wasting OUR time on your lack of pride in your work...I know you can spell. You spell the hardest words and misspell (irritatingly) the easiest most basic words...

I just think, if you are such the accommodating person that I know...how bout cutting us a break? I mean you have had it your way for the last 5 years...

Wow, you picked up on that whole Catholic school thing! Good for you. They never smacked my knuckles for misspelling words, tho, only for smoking in the bathroom (then it was a slap across the face, at which point I told the Nun "Never hit me again!", so I wasn't really their pawn). If you enjoy writing as a release in your life, then keep a journal & share it with people who will overlook your stubborn disrespect for anyone who reads your writing. Why do you have this "need" to post your writing, especially knowing (now) that many people dislike the misspelled/poorly written words & sentences. You make it difficult to follow your meaning when you write "were" instead of "where"---two totally different words & meanings. It's careless & lazy. I actually use some slang when I write to people I know, such a "gonna" instead of "going to", or "whaddya" instead of "what do you", but at least (I think) most of the people I write to using those "combined words" understand what my meaning is. I would never use them when writing to someone I don't personally know, since it would be insulting to that person. Yes, insulting, because I would be acting as if I didn't care whether they knew what I meant or not. So, Mykil, the jury seems to have returned the verdict that, on the count of being "cute & creative" you are "Not Guilty!" On the second count of being lazy & insulting to those of us who have attempted to de-code your posts, the verdict is "Guilty!" (Now I'm gonna get a whole lotta shit about "playing judge & jury", I just KNOW it....sigh...).

So, show some respect to those of us who DO care about sloppiness & the confusion that your mistakes in spelling (some) words can create in understanding what you mean to say. Remember: "where" & "were" are NOT synonyms!

This is way off topic, unless this is sex. I have written in the past about the feelings evoked by the misspellings of Mykil...not sure why they would jump out and annoy me like they did. Next, I began to notice little bits of sense/feeling in the "error" like how being in sentiment is like being stuck in the sediment of our lives and how sometimes getting the jest might have importance over getting the gist of a conversation.......I do not know if you would consider this movement to be of progress or regress, yet can report decrease in the charge these word choices produce in this reader.

Shelley, I am almost surprised that you are saying these things.

"Oh its okay mykil! I love you. You spell words however you want."

But I am sure that you would not say that to a person who has hired you in business...

Suppose you got this letter....do think you would want to try to consult for this person?:

I would see this and figure that this person needs to take an adult english language class. That would be my first suggestion.

Yes I would and yes I have.

I have found them to often be dyslexics. I then help them set up their business and coach them to working within the business world in a way that works for them and still allows them to be seen as the intelligent creatives they most often are.

I have found some to be stroke victims as well and in need of being set up in independent living situations where things like PayPal take care of their basic bills allowing them some relief from frustration.

I have set up such people with everything from lawyers to real estate attornies to CPA's and secretaries. I have relocated them, stored their stuff, and moved their businesess forward.

And yes I get paid very nicely to do so. My transparency and truthfulness allow people to completely trust me.

Just because they communicate non traditionally does not make them dumb. It does though mean that they have special requirements not everyone can work well with.

Einstein wrote and spoke very similarly to Mykil and many others who really do suffer from known and diagnosed issues other than Mykilisms.

To discount someone without doing a check in; without seeing what is behind the cover; seems to be one sure way to miss briliance.

Okay and thank you for your help on their behalf.
You are on the side of the people who can't help it or that they don't know the correct way of written communications. And I applaud you helping them better their lives in ways that can get them around not being able to communicate normally. (the way were were all taught in school.)

However, Mykil is not challenged in anyway. He knows every bit as much as everyone else who writes, the correct way. But chooses to make his posts difficult to digest.

so why?

And Woops Lori: Why? Cause he can. Cause he does. Cause he is. Apparently I have had a similar conversation with Laura over this.

I could really care less about reading any of this back and forth spelling bee.
in fact, why not create a whole new thread concerning this particular issue?
why bring the spelling bee into sex? do people really communicate this much during sex?

all i know is......
I just want sex ! and that I KNOW how to spell.

and i wish to view it more.... (no pun intended of course!)

A few miss spelt words are nothing compared to what I have to deal with in each and every one of you all, get used to it get over your bad selves and learn to evolve is my only advise on this subject. Good luck as well because most of you are going to need it!

Oh and BTW I have upgrades to office 07' for all my wrting skills so the words may appear to get a tab bit better just don't count on it!

Oh I can feel for you my lady; you know about ten to fifteen years back when the Governor of Florida decided to make it policy for every person in his school to only teach English I thought to myself “this is a fairly decent thing he has done”. And in that same newspaper I read that Oakland has made it a reality that every teacher be familiar with Ebonics! I was like are you fucking nuts. Now that I am a tad bit older I have reversed most of that bizarre thought pattern and have really decided that each and every person has the right to his or her own influence on our society no matter what language we are using. So please feel the right to ridicule and promote the outrageous trans-lingo barrier that I am bringing to the table with my broken English transcripts if you will and feel free to stop reading any writing in the near future and let us all just get on with our boring pompous lives once again. Like I have said before if you don’t like the way I write you may go kick rocks! P~E~A~C~E

Oh and the spelling thing hmm yes Paula the spelling thing is a little hypercritical don't ya think? ]

This sentence is so rich, I don't know where to begin.
Does he mean she is hypocritical? Is it hyper and critical? Maybe very critical?
Probably all of the above!
It actually makes you think while you read, and how can anybody object to that?
Somebody called it Mykilism, I like that.
Peace to you, bro.

Because Barry just transitioned in essence the link if you do not want to be in this conversation you'll have to "disconnect" by unfollowing it.

Per Braggi in Thread: WaccoBB.net Community Values
"??? Why lay ego aside? What is it with so many people denigrating the ego? The ego is who we are as individuals, folks! It's what makes us, us. Yeah, yeah, it's an overlay over our TRUE self. Where did that idea come from?"

So this can be applied as: Mykil's Egotistical writing.

I get it! giggle

If we all concentrated on simply letting understanding occur, what would happen, do you think? ; )

BTW, if you haven't seen this, check it out.. it really is a trip to see what we can understand if we allow ourselves too! ; ) It really showed me how dyslexic I am, because I had very little problem understanding it, just like I can easily get 2, 3 or more meanings out of each Mykilism.. that is the beauty of them!

Scott.

Mykil gets a "get out of jail free" card from me for his creative spelling. Everyone else is severely judged!

Actually, compared to most of the net, Waccobians spell very well and are amazingly articulate, I think.

Three words that are misspelled so frequently that I can almost forget how to spell them:

Definitely: Think "Finite" as a root word
Relevant: from the Latin Levare, to lift up. That doesn't really help me remember it, but there you go.
And
Separate: from the Latin Parare, to prepare

I was reminded privately that the word "lose" is often misspelled "loose" as in a co-worker's website selling a weight loss program, in which she says, "you can loose as much as you want", etc., about 5 times!

"If the leash gets loose, I might lose my dog"

Then there are cloths and clothes. "She gathered up some wash cloths and made her clothes out of them"

Isn't that just about what Laura Bush would say when she visited classrooms and tried to persuade kids on the importance of schoolwork in a life?
