This issue has really been an interesting one. Especailly if you believe in our Constitution. I point specifically to the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. It is only in this context that I support Homosexual Marriage, because I feel State Marriage licenses are Unconstitutional on their very face. Which begs the question, why are you trying to use an obviously Unconstitutional law to advance rights, when that very law was created to deny rights?

Did you know that the marriage license was created in the 1920's to prevent interracial marriages? Prior to that, for 122 years, marriage was strictly a religious undertaking. Not only that, even the Catholic Church has blessed same sex unions in their history.

Yet, we attempt to instill rights, by the State no less, which already exist under Constitutional law. In most circles, that is known as statism. I abhor statism. Yes, denying same sex marriage is a violation of the Free Practice clause of the First Amendment and it should be brought to the Supreme Court.

I quote, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
