Can anyone suggest a local Sonoma Co. source for bulk baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) for cleaning, deodorizing, etc.? We were given about half a bag by neighbors who were moving out and made great use of it, but have since run out. I hate buying it by the 1 lb box when it's not for baking purposes. Thanks

Check out Costco, they sell it in larger boxes. 5 - 10 Lb. size.
Maybe check with Whole Foods too.

UNFI is the distributor of nat'l foods for Whole Foods and maybe Olivers. Thru them you can buy bulk baking soda, if you're not a Costco member.

Cash & Carry on Barham near Santa Rosa Ave. is a restaurant supply. They have wholesale sizes of most food things.

Also, you don't need a membership card to shop there.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Suggested sources included:

Community Market (SR) -- cited as lowest price
Whole Foods on Yalupa Ave., SR
Olivers' Market
CostcoWhole Foods and Olivers (and probably Community Market) are supplied by UNFI (https://www.unfi.com/Default.aspx), a distributor of natural foods and larger quantities could be ordered through them.

Recently I special ordered the large-size box of Arm & Hammer baking soda from Sebastopol Hardware. If enough folks show an interest they said they will add it to their regular stock.
