Dear Community,
I am a resident of Santa Cruz, and my step-daughter has gone missing. She is 20-years of age, has struggled with substance abuse since high-school and was last rumored to be in Sebastopol. Her name is Avery (see photos below taken at Christmas 2008).
I simply want to let her know that she is loved and that her family will pay for a new cell phone so she can keep in touch.
Avery is believed to be traveling with a young man about the same age as herself. She was recently in an automobile accident that resulted in the death of a friend. The trauma from this experience has set her back quite a bit...
Please know that Avery is potentially a danger to herself, yet has never exhibited violent behavior toward anyone other than belligerent speech.
We are hopeful that she is indeed in Sebastopol and will be seen in the downtown area by someone in this online community.
Thank you for contacting me should you see her...
With gratitude,
A.M.
