This is a family member. He's in his early 70s, has been living independently all his life; alone for the last few years. He has a neurological problem that has made him almost completely wheelchair bound. He also has very bad emphysema, and the lack of oxygen effects him more and more. He's hard to get along with, made increasingly more so by oxygen deprivation. He has become incontinent in the last month or so.Despite all, he's an intelligent man with periods of considerable clarity. I suppose we're looking for full-time elder care, though we'd hate to see him in a convalescent hospital. He has some money, not a lot, but not enough to afford renting an apartment plus paying a caregiver for what amounts to increasing time he needs someone with him. We're all looking for ideas and would appreciate any suggestions. Maybe it'd be best to email Anna at [email protected]. Thanks.
