Subject: >^..^< ACTION !! A bill to outlaw organic farming next week? NO on HR 875 1-800-826-3688 Toll Free Call to Congress

Dear Friends,

Every time an especially bad idea gets introduced as legislation in Congress, we can count on the fact that special interests groups, in this case Monsato, tried to purchase influence and decision making from our elected "representatives." This happened in Afghanistan-Iraq too, with Unocal-Halliburton-KBR-Wall St. CEO's make money, while the rest of us go into debt without any chance of a return on our "investment."

**The establishment hopes that we are sleeping now. That way, taxation without representation can effectively continue, and polluters can keep getting rewarded with big contracts.

** Our kids and future generations hope we are awake now, and taking action to make conscious and responsible decisions that will affect ALL life on this Dear Earth.

Thanks for caring, and taking a minute for planetary well-being. XOXO, >^..^<

US House and Senate are about (in a week and a half) to vote on bill that will OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING (bill HR 875). There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening.Main backer and lobbyist is (guess who) Monsanto – chemical and genetic engineering giant corporation. This bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the newly formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to the public food supply". This will include backyard gardens that grow food only for a family and not for sales. If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds but only Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now showing up with unexpected diseases in humans. There is a video on the subject.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq9cOhNiEoA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq9cOhNiEoA)And another one:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeWVkTU1s1E (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeWVkTU1s1E)The name on this outrageous food plan is Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 (bill HR 875).THIS IS REAL, FOLKS! PASS THIS ALONG TO ALL CONCERNED ON YOUR MAILING LISTS & CALL YOUR SENATE REPRESENTETIVES TODAY! Get on that phone and burn up the wires. Get anyone else you can to do the same thing. The House and Senate WILL pass this if they are not massively threatened with loss of their position.... They only fear your voice and your vote. One of the best things to do is go to www.house.gov/writerep all (https://www.house.gov/writerep%C2%A0all) you have to do is put in your zip and it will give you your congressperson and how to get in touch with them. When you call their office someone will answer the phone, just tell them (politely) that you are calling to express your views on HR 875. Tell them your views, they'll take your name and address and pass your comments along to the congressperson. The following linkhttps://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm (https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm) is a list of the U.S. senators and their contact info.1-800-826-3688 or call Congress Toll Free**********************************************************************If you would like more information, to educate yourself on this important issue, watch these two films:1. "The Future of Food" a wonderful full length documentary that explains the whole issue of food justice and safety, which explains organic vs. chemical/gmo farming methods, and what we can do about it. It has a positive ending, so I encourage you to watch it through to completion, as your time allows.https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3764995188693165078&hl=en (https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3764995188693165078&hl=en)

Wow. Whatta bill.

First of all, this bill doesn't exactly outright ban organic food, but I can definitly see it go that way since the husband of the democrat who iniciated the bill works for Monsanto, and we all know how Monsanto has it out for organic farming.

Second, this bill gives an "administrator" full authority to write the guidelines for what is "safe" and what is "not safe", ie: organic farming. It reminds me of the bailout bill which gave Bernake full outright authority to dictate the appropriation of the bailout money to whatever banks and coorporations he felt necessary.

Third, this is detrimental to all small farmers and backyard growers who may sell their products at farmers markets or local markets because it packs on so much beaurocratic paperwork, inspections, hassle, money and time. I mean every farm would have to be inspected at least once a month. Test samples would be taken and sent to laboratories. Every "food establishment" (that includes small gardens if you sell to your neighbors) would be required to come up with a food safety action plan, keep extensive records, and allow inspectors access to their farm and records at any time. Fines of only up to a million dollars could be issued upon the farmers for failure to follow any of these rules or any arbitrary order dictated by the "administrator".

This is about all small farmers having the government on top of their buttholes day and night. Having to worry about extensive record keeping and following every silly regulation to the T, or bam! you gotta a heavy fine to deal with mister. I would rather be the decider when it comes to what I put in my body, not some asshole who'll probably be an ex-Monsanto board member dictating it for me. And just a side note, its shocking to me to see that all 39 co-sponsors shown on govtrack.us are democrats, many from California. I'll be calling my congressmen, and representitves, I hope you do too.
