Hi Art,
The traditional gift for a 10th anniversary is tin or aluminum. Sounds kind of dull, eh?
You didn't give us much to work with...i.e. what does your son like to do? Do he and his wife have special hobbies or interests?
The most memorable gifts I have ever received were experiences, like a dinner at a nice restaurant, a massage or facial. How about a bottle of wine with a certificate attached for a great restaurant? How about cooking them a great dinner yourself?
Calistoga is full of spas that offer package deals. A massage for two followed by a soak in the hot springs would be romantic. Here on Wacco, there are probably masseuses that would bring their services right to your son's house. A certificate for a stay at a B & B on the coast is another possibility. I think any of these would be appreciated and remembered gratefully.

If the traditional 10th anniversary gift is tin or aluminum, and you are looking to honor that tradition, maybe a wind chime would be a nice gift.
