Basic decency is an all or nothing way of being. We cannot settle for part-way decency—merely treating certain selected Humans, pets/cute animals, and desirable real estate with care. We must fully Power Share in all four main aspects of life: Our own (our family, loved ones, and closest circle), Humanity in general, Animals and life in general, and our Planet/Environment:
In other words, We must treat all Humans, non-Human life (especially living things which experience suffering, pain, fear, and/or contentment, such as most mammals and most of the animals we eat), and our entire Planet itself with proper respect.
We have all we need to see to it we do this. Doing it is not an act of altruism or saintliness, it’s simply in our own self-interest. There is no sane reason or excuse for us not to do it.
