Check out avast antivirus. I believe it's at avast! - Download antivirus software for spyware and virus protection (https://www.avast.com) or avastantivirus.com (https://www.avastantivirus.com).

i don't know which is the best one but i know PC tools anti-virus is highly functional.
PC Tools AntiVirus - Free Anti Virus Download and Removal (https://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/)

you also will probably eventually need an anti-spyware program like Super Anti Spyware
SUPERAntiSpyware.com - AntiAdware, AntiSpyware, AntiMalware! (https://www.superantispyware.com/)

for general computer security stuff, i suggest an IT website run by a guy named MechBgon
mechBgon's guide for first-time newbie computer builders, and stuff (https://www.MechBgon.com/)

it is important to be aware of which user account you are using on the computer you are using. if you are logged in as Administrator, you are much more vulnerable than if you are logged in as a "Limited User" (in Windows).
