Remember those great old home movies, well I want to look at mine and decide if I want to transfer them to DVD. Does anyone out there have a 8mm projector hiding in their garage that I might be able to borrow or een rent for a night. Let me know.

If anyone wants to have their 8mm movies converted to high quality digital, I know someone who has a movie film scanner who does this professionally. It is not as low cost as digitally filming the movie as it plays, but if you have footage that is particularly precious to you and want it done well, that's the way to go.

on a slighty different tack:
i bought a $400 machine that copies vhs tapes to dvd and is quite easy to operate. the power supply blew (a $200 fix in Santa Rosa) when I was done. Its a gift to anyone who wants it. Peter 829 5208
