Choice and Judgement …ahhhh !

Two , very powerful words with very different connotations (meanings) , yet they are indeed synonyms !
That is, if we so "CHOOSE" or "DESIRE" to PERCEIVE it that way.
What we are willing to perceive becomes true, nevertheless.

Lets choose to look at the word; "JUDGMENT" .

The word, " Judgment " can perhaps also be perceived as holding an "opinion".
Therefore, it is safe to say that "Judgment and Opinion" would also be synonyms. Possibly more so than the words: "Choice" and "Judgement" .

Again.. what ever works and whatever is our "choice" or "perception".

If one were to CHOOSE to associate the words: " choice" and judgment" as being synonyms because it "resonates" with them… then this would be in fact, what is known as a " PREFERENCE."

Preference occurs when we are stating/making "choices that are guided by our judgment ."

Lets look at some of the synonyms for the word "CHOICE" other than the word "judgement".

Synonyms for choice: OPTION, ALTERNATIVE, PREFERENCE and SELECTION

Based one the past experiences I have experienced, the word and act of a "judgement " holds a heaver energetic vibration without the freedom to move or flow.
It is more of a DECISION. Rather than looking at or leaving room for "OPTIONS" .

A JUDGMENT is an EVALUATION. * But also can be used as An OPINION.
A PERSPECTIVE.
It is just being aware of the energy/intention behind your words.

In my experience, when I use or state the phrase , "In my OPINION/PERSPECTIVE" , I am still allowing room for energy to move and I continue to remain open to other peoples opinions/perspectives.

I also remain aware of what my preferences are while remaining unattached to outcome.

Sometimes, I CHOOSE to use the word "PREFERENCE" more so to describe my OPINION/DECISION because to me, the act of a "JUDGEMENT" is heavier vibed , and because the word (and act of a) "judgment" carries an AUTHORITATIVE energy .
When we pass judgment, we are offering an AUTHORITATIVE or PRONOUNCED OPINION . Similar to how a judge would pass judgment in a courtroom.
In a courtroom, a judge does not state his opinion in form of a preference which holds a more gentle energy field/tone than does an authoritative evaluation or judgement.
Often times we get caught up either being the judge of ourselves and our own actions , or we judge others by passing evaluations.
When we take on the energy and role of the judge, we evaluate what is right/wrong , good /bad, Dark/light, guilty or not guilty .

When the judge is in the house evaluating myself or another outside of myself, I feel as if I am setting myself or another up for being kinda like in a spiritual prison.....where there is not much space to be able to move or grow/evolve in a kind, ,warm,,cozy, fuzzy , gentle kinda way.

I want kind, SIMPLE,warm, cozy, fuzzy and FUN experiences to learn from and to be able to offer that energy to others rather than being in the harsh prison cell where no freedom exists. Speaking of which….

Lets talk about FREEDOM OF CHOICE!
A CHOICE feels better to me when used in the connotation of FREEDOM
As suggested:
"CHOICE suggests the opportunity or privilege of choosing freely. "
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/choice

However, nowhere in the Merriam –webster dictionary when looking up the word, "Judgment" does it read or indicate "freedom' or 'freely' as synonyms like the word CHOICE does.

A "Judgment" is a way of forming an opinion that becomes more of an "evaluation" if by discerning and comparing.

When we judge ourselves , we are busy evaluating ourselves rather than just simply accepting where we are "at" and what we are experiencing.

And a big part of Love is to be able to accept where we are at!

Likewise, when we are busy evaluating/judging others, we are not accepting them for where they are "at" on their journey into "WHOLENESS".
By us choosing to play the role of the judge, we are not giving others the room to grow, move or BE wherever they need to be.

By choosing to view /perceive /recognize ourselves and others as already "whole" (we are all just at different levels on our path to wholeness) , we remove and let go of the notion that something needs to be "fixed."
We remove the notion or concept of 'right/wrong' or good/bad.
Choosing to learn how to accept ourselves and others as we are for where we are is a big part of learning how to love.

Quite a perspective you offer here. I enjoy looking at the world from where you stand. But what brought you to this point of observation? What is it in life that motivated this stance?

its funny that u of all people would ask me about what motivated my stance or perspective.

actually, a very interesting and heated discussion .....uh...mostly "debate" with ms. shellerae over the meaning behind specific words such as: judgement, choice, perception, compassion or even the word "gentle" inspired me. I found that we differed with our perspectives and understandings regarding some of these words. I mean..its only natural we all have our own understandings, meanings, experiences and intentions with "words". But words do hold basic general dictionary definition and have synonyms...which I find the synonym part to be most interesting.

i find the variety of words which we can choose to use to express ourselves quite fascinating. Much gratitude to both u and shelle for encouraging me to fiddle faddle with the word game!

hugs! hoping ur day at laguna farms is a good one!

I can hear the fiddle. I can hum the faddle. It's a toe-tapper, yup.

Me? Of all people? Heck, me of all people has done stranger, said stranger, and acted stranger. LOL

As for your post here and the relation to Ms. Shellerae, ah yes. Now I can see your stance.
