Waltz With Bashir --anyone want to see/discuss?

Hi!

I've been waiting for Waltz With Bashir (https://www.sonyclassics.com/waltzwithbashir/)to come out for a while and I'm wondering if there are others who might be interested in going and then discussing over tea or a meal somewhere?

I'm interested in discussing the technical aspects as well as the story and social/political content. I invite the company of those who seek insight and sppreciate stories of humanity (however beautiful and vile). Though I will say right now that I'm not looking for a debate or agendas. Respectful discourse of differing opinions always welcome.

If you want to read the graphic novel and compare notes I'm up for that, too!

Right now it's playing at the Rialto at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9:15pm. I would prefer the matinee or to go on a Tuesday when the price is discounted.

This is definitely a movie made for the "big screen!" Although a serious film, I think this could prove to be a fun outing, thought-provoking amidst the rainy weather...and an opportunity to support the local theater in a prickly economy.

Unfortunately I didn't see your post until today, or I would have arranged to go with you instead of going alone--which is what I did last night. Let me take this opportunity to give this movie my highest recommendation to one and all. It's one of the most powerful, thoughtful and artistically beautiful movies I've ever seen. As far as I know, there's no guarantee that the Rialto will extend this movie another week, so if you want to be sure to catch it on the big screen for maximum effect, you should see it no later than this Thursday.

If you've already seen it and just want to discuss give me a call and we can establish a meeting spot (probably East West). It should end at 2pm.

If you can't tomorrow but would still like to go as a group/discuss...it looks like Waltz With Bashir is playing at least another week, starting tomorrow (Fri 2/27) at the following times: 12:30 (matinee), 5:30, 7:25, 9:30 --which may change next Fri. Next week I can do Tuesday at 5:30 or 7:25 OR see what a Fri matinee next week time looks like (probably around 12:30 or 1pm)

Regardless I plan to be there tomorrow! If we can get a group together this week or next, great, if not maybe next time.
