I have a large open lot (150ft. by 133ft.) where I would like to offer space for gardening (food only this year) in exchange for help with the rest of my property.

What I am envisioning is a group of people who love to grow organic veggies and fruits coming together to share the work and cost. This would be great for someone who lives in Santa Rosa, possibly in an apartment or home with no yard, who wants a space to garden.

I'm in a great location, off West College near G&G Market, with abundant sunshine and off street parking. I have city water and with the situation being dire around water this year, I would like to see us develop some kind of rain cachement/storage system to have in place for next year. The property has fruit trees-oranges, pears, apples-blackberries & walnuts too.

I am looking for individuals who have experience with organic gardening, irrigation, fruit tree maintenence, growing veggies and flowers, including roses. The rest of the property is an established mostly drought tolerant landscape which needs weeding and pruning at times.

Over the next few years I believe that we are all going to have to work together to make sure that the food we eat is healthy and local. Agribusiness is working very hard to take control of all food production at this point and our food supply is already tainted with too many petrochemicals.

If you are yearning for the taste of fresh food grown organically and you're willing to join with like-minded others to make that happen right here in the middle of the city, please email me. We will have meeting within the next 4 weeks to meet one another and brainstorm.

Peace,
Sage
