Join our cause! Show that this is not a limited issue, for the 2nd Supervisorial District, but a County wide, Regional issue, and that how each of the five Supervisors will affect their political future.

Our mission is to save Shollenberger Park and Petaluma’s clean air by demanding the County of Sonoma reject the construction of an Asphalt Plant in such close proximity to one of the nation’s most significant wildlife and wetland preserves...as well as significant residences and apartment complexes, places of employment, schools and health care facilities.

By joining our "Cause" you can help spread the word and bring us closer to our goals:

1. Help save Shollenberger Park and Petaluma’s clean air.

2. Demand the County of Sonoma reject the construction of an Asphalt Batch Plant at Haystack Landing.

3. Help us raise money toward outreach, awareness and the potential legal battle.

Thank you!

Thanks for bringing the Supervisors race to everybody's attention - who gets elected in each District matters to the whole county. The air and the wetlands are precious and are not bounded by districts - Efren Carrillo, Sebastopol's Supervisor is not running for office this November - but his environmental voting record will follow him to his next election race. Watch how he votes on the Dutra Asphalt Factory proposal, watch and remember.

In the 2nd District we have an opportunity to replace retiring MIke Kerns with Pam Torliatt, our current Mayor of Petaluma. She is an intelligent proactive leader, committed to environmentally sound planning. We can count on Pam to protect our wetlands, which belong to the whole county.

Pam is the best! I had the opportunity to work with her during the 2008 election when I was precinct coordinator at the Dem HQ. She is about getting the job done.

We must pressure Carrillo to save the park. It is a very important wetlands, and is used by the people intensively. This is not nimby issue, because this is about saving the quality of a public park. Maybe it is a niourby issue.
