:hmmm: having major dental work several years back the costs were stagering, i opted for the care credit application available at my doctors, approved (thankfully) we went ahead with a major portion, so far so good. about a year later i had another $600 of work done and put it on the credit card (g.e. money bank) they remind you every statement that as your payments increase you have available credit that grows each month. with 2 years remaing on original purchase my monthly bill went up another $30 for the second dental work so sounded normal i.e. 24 months @ $30 month about $600 plus interest, cool, WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS this is a promotional deal on the second purchase, it must be paid off in a year and if you don't you get a 29% extra charge on the second purchase, in this case $150 bucks, man am i steamed! friends please be aware of this scam! anyone else with this senario? peace and .....for corporations of this nature!

I understand what you said about the "scam". I'm going to scrutinize our paperwork from them. By necessity, I've been dealing with Care Credit for years - for my own medical situations, those of my wife's, and...our large veterinary costs.
My gut feeling is that they're not running a scam. My experience with them is that, if I pay them on the schedule I first agreed to, the interest rates are low. If/when I haven't made payments on a strictly timely basis, then the interest rate shoots up.

I think there was a thing on the news about these guys, or something similar. Google "care credit" and you will see a lot of bad reports and complaints!
