Single-payer health care reform advocacy groups across America are encouraging everyone to participate in the next National Call-in Day for HR 676, Thursday, February 12.

We're joining our State Strategy Group partners who support California's OneCareNow.org Campaign for SB 840 in this urgent action request to demand the single payer solution provided by HR 676 legislation.

Now is NOT the time for gradual, incremental changes in our health care financing. Like SB 840, HR 676 is the only proposal in Washington that eliminates all private, for-profit insurance plans.

Thursday, February 12, 2009: Call Congress, and the President

Congressional switchboard: 202-224-3121
(ask for your Congressional Representative's office)

If your member is a current co-sponsor, thank your rep. and ask him or her to stand firm for HR 676 and actively seek additional co-sponsors.

If your member was a co-sponsor in the last Congress, ask him or her to sign on immediately as a co-sponsor in this Congress.

If your member has yet to co-sponsor HR 676, ask him or her to please become a co-sponsor.

Then call the President at (202-456-1414) or fax (202-456-2461) to urge their support of HR 676 and the Single Payer solution!

Thanks for your continued support and advocacy,

Andrew McGuire,
Executive Director,
Health Care for All-California
OneCareNow.org Campaign for SB 840

Will universal health care include health freedom? Reproductive Freedom? Such as the right to a midwife birth, home birth, chiropractic treatments, acupuncture, nutritional therapies or other less-invasive medicine?
