Peg Luksik: Who Controls Our Children? (video)
While parents, schools, provinces and states across North America bicker about the democratic process of running public schools, forces are manipulating education from behind the scenes. Major international players are reshaping public education to suit their own self-serving agendas, without regard for the wants of parents and the welfare of their children. This video lecture documents how today's educational system dumb down kids deliberately, making zombie-like people who don't ask any questions but just follow orders.

As someone who was once well versed in applied science (I worked on the Hubble Telescope among other projects) I would like very much to see those tests from the various decades. I have a nagging doubt about this story but I could be wrong.

The doubt is this - scientific knowledge and practices have changed considerably over the years. In many fields, what was once "true" no longer is. Also, methods of determining results have changed.

What I wonder is whether the old tests are no longer relevant to today's scientific practices - or whether the school system's practice of graduating folks who cannot even form proper sentences also reflects on science grads.

I'd really like to see some of the old tests.
