Some of you know my dear friend Reece Clark. Reece is 77 and lives in Sebastopol. His bedroom is upstairs in a loft. Friday morning, in the middle of the night, he got up and accidently fell off the end of the loft onto a hard wood floor.
Although he did not have any broken bones, he did suffer a severe concussion. When I saw him on Sunday, he was semi-conscious, drifting in and out of lucidity, repeating himself, asking the same questions over again and not really knowing what happened to him. The cat scan shows some bleeding in the brain which has some swelling, causing the vision on his left side to fail.
He is in the hospital in Kaiser, Santa Rosa for observation. Doctors are not sure of the recovery time. This reminds me of how precious life is and how quickly it could be taken away. Your prayers would be very helpful.
