Be forewarned that if DMV needs to access your medical records, and finds that you're a medical cannabis user, they may revoke your license!

"Americans for Safe Access filed a lawsuit against CA DMV Nov 19th on behalf of a 53 year old patient. Despite her accident free driving record for 37 years, DMV revoked Rose Johnson's license because of her status as a legal cannabis patient.

DMV said her license was revoked because of her "addiction" to a drug, which renders her unable to safely operate a motor vehicle- even though no evidence existed to substantiate this claim." from West Coast Leaf-Winter 09

Although this wasn't in our county, it can also happen here!

How Completely absurd is THAT?
good lord
no evidence cannabis is addictive
no evidence this person would necessarily drive under the influence! ( you cannot be refused a license for being an alcoholic!)

and I have heard many accounts of professional drivers, and commercial airplane pilots using cannabis instead of coffee for alertness, and attention to detail and accuracy. ( mind you I could not imagine managing all those
gauges er...zonked?) but still... they seem to do it
It seems cannabis enhances what you are good at, and is not advised for first appearance on stage! or anything one is unfamiliar with.
Well It's all part of the Ancient oppressive Western European
church based morality in govt. that tries to govern every aspect of our lives. little by little all these things will change. Women will be allowed to vote, people of all races will have a chance at presidency, etc.

Very absurd...I did learn from a couple of people who suffer from epilepsy that if you use pot as epilepsy medication, no matter how many years you stay seizure free, you can't get a driver's license. One of the two, had extremely bad reactions to all medications and continued to have seizures on top of that. Pot is the only thing that works for him. He's been sezure-free for 6 years, but can't get a driver's license. The other, although he does have some negative reactions to his meds and was told by his doctor pot would work for him with less side-effects, chose being able to drive. Considering this involves smoking once a day before going to bed, they wouldn't even be on the road while "high". The truly sad thing is that most epilepsy medications cause liver damage, pot does not.
