:heart::heart:we are a rescue organization that saves horses from an auschwitz like slaughter in Mexico. The better alternative is humanely putting healthy horses down. Up until now, we have been successful placing horses.
We need pasture space, temporary or permanent. You may receive tax deductions for your pasture. If you don't have pasture space, but you know someone who does, please send this on to 5 friends.
we received no response from our post in got no response from our posting on monday. we can offer tax deductions, education & more for short term (or long term) placements. if you know of people who have pasture, care about animals, want to work with us to save horses lives, please copy and paste this & forward to them. 2 horses placed locally for 2-3 months, can save a number of horses from inhumane slaughter & premature euthanasia.
anti-slaughter legislation, that Sonoma Co. voters overwhelming voted for, was well intended, but poorly thought out. let's show our humanity, by beginning to solve this problem. thank you for being a part of the solution. we are grateful for your time & consideration.
our best,

i think this would fit in well somehow with the fire control measures that people use. e.g. flocks of goats that they rent out.

i know someone who uses uses cows and bulls to keep the grass short on a vineyard property.

presumably horses could be just as useful for fire control.

if you put an ad on Craigslist for $200 or so, would you get buyers ? i would think there's a lot of property owners in Sonoma County that would be thrilled to get a good horse for under $1000.

my understanding of the county fire control people is that they are really hard-working, comparable to the city workers that patrol parking near the JC. also that it's a hefty fine if you are found in violation of the "how long can your grass be" part of the fire codes.

is your service like the SPCA, where you pay $50 for a dog or cat that you adopt ?
