Growing up in Massachusetts as a nice Irish Catholic boy one of my fond memories is of sharing Passover meals at my friend Ross Berman's house. I was about 15 & 16 and his family would treat me with great love. They would explain the history and traditions involved and we would also have great conversations in general. The main thing I took away from these and other experiences in my youth is that the Jewish tradition includes a tremendous amount of learning, critical thought and rational, yet passionate, discourse.
Some of these seem to be missing in the current dialogue.

This pope is a total asshole, as is abundantly evident by his endorsement of a holocaust denier, which is a felony in Germany (from where the pope is a native) and punishable with imprisonment.
