:hello:
Cell phones are no longer protected from telemarketing as of February. You may want to add your cell phone # to the do not call registry. See below for instructions.

Want to pay for telemarketing calls to your cell phones? :2cents::2cents::

REMEMBER: Cell Phone Numbers Go Public next month.
REMINDER.... all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls.
.... YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS
To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.
HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL
YOUR FREINDS AND FAMILY.

:hello: Everyone ~

The "story" is bogus. It's not true.

To summarize the truth:

1) Yes, you can register your cell phone number with the National Do Not Call Registery if you want. It can't hurt. There is no time limit on registering you number with them. There is no expiration period of five years. Once your on the list, your on.

2) Yes, some of the major cell phone companies have tried to collectively organize a listing of cell phone numbers to be used for 411 information purposes and hired a company named "Qsent, Inc" to administer the program.

3) This directory is entirely an "opt-in" service. Your cell number will not be added unless you want it to be.

4) The cell directory has not been activated yet.

5) The cell directory will never be in printed form.

6) The cell directory is only accessible by 411 operators and will only be used if you're trying to find a specific number, just like the 411 directory is currently being used.

7) It is against the law for telemarketing companies that use "auto-dialers" to call a cell phone number.

** So, that about wraps it up.

Here is the link for the Snopes.com (https://snopes.com/) article in support of this information.

I hope this helps,
