Well, it's not every President who plagiarizes from Dorothy Fields, with help from Jerome Kern, having heard the words SUNG by no less than Jiminy Crickett, Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole and Diana Krall (really), in his Inaugural speech......
is this a good sign, or what????? I don't know whether he should have referenced Jiminy Crickett or not......Would that have helped or hurt his approval ratings?
Maybe Obama was watching "Swingtime" (1936) as he was writing his speech:
