Hey Virtual Community,

This is question that has been bugging me for quite a while. How come so many items in the "For Sale / Wanted / ..." category are posted without any listed price? Just contact info so one would have to make an extra effort to call or email and, I suppose, finally find out.

Is it because the seller wants to bargain?

Are they embarrassed?

What's up wi'dat?

When I am interested in buying something, the first question I want answered is, how much? Can I afford it? Is it worth the money?

Why isn't the information I need to answer those questions provided? I just don't get it!

I mean, why are these sellers making it hard for potential buyers to decide whether or not to contact them? Don't they want to make the deal?

Please, explain it to me....

Hey Miles,

It may be beause the price is in header or title. Have you looked there?

Being an "old" Wacco, you may not have noticed that there is now a special field for price in the header that I added to address this issue.

If you don't see a price on a for sale post, please send me a link/copy and tell me how you saw it (web/digest/individual email)

Who you call'in "old" Boomer!

Barry,

Yes I look at/in the headers. I've searched the entire screen for these posts and have done so over and over for quite a while now. Hence my question.

I don't get it either, has bothered me for awhile too.
As far as I am concerned; no price, no call

This has been driving me nuts! I see the prices just fine. However I finally logged in as a regular user and I see that the prices are not shown. I don't know what is happening yet, but I'll fix it next week. Thanks for pointing this out!

Now that we suggesting improvements: More and more WaccoBB.net messages end up in my spam folder, filtered out by my Eudora spam filter. Is there anything in the messages that has changed??

Nope.

There _must_ be something that is changing, slowly ...

Maybe our vocabulary is slowly infiltrated by spamtalk. An epidemic.

itmight be the number of people, rather than the message

Is the SPAM word "price?"

FWIW, I typically use the "New Posts" feature while reading Wacco, and I've always seen the price in the header since it became available.

Is it your inclination that my dribble is your SPAM?

I am one of many? or even I am the leader and many are following me???:hmmm:

And for good measure, it now works on the "New Posts" display as well! :):
