Our copy of windows XP is corrupted, probably not due to a virus but possibly, and we need to try to do a repair install so as not to lose all of our data and applications. For this we need the Windows XP install cds. I have no idea if we need a CD Key, if that CD Key is a specific one connected to the copy we already have, or what.
The person who built our computer "gave" us his copy of XP. We have contacted him but he is not reliable, and has not shown up. We're not sure what to do.
Please let us know if you can help.
