:hmmm:We are having a family reunion at the Headlands Institute on the Marin Headlands this summer. We need to find a restaurant that can handle seating 60 for Sunday Dinner. Good food, moderate price. I thought of Scomas in Sausalito but it is pretty pricey. Please give me your :2cents::2cents:.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Don't know if Insalata's has the interest or the space (weekend evening is problematic...), but they'd be my first choice - maybe a little pricey, but great food and well worth it. What about carpooling across the bridge to Greens? Always wonderful!
Given the logistics of moving 60 people to a restaurant, I'd consider some kind of buffet at your meeting place, maybe a catered Thai (Bongkot, in San Rafael, my personal favorite...) meal? Moving a bunch of people around seems to always turn into a cat-herding episode.
Good luck with it!

I enjoyed dinner at Piatti during the Holidays & found that they are very accessible from the freeway. They have reasonable pasta dishes, as well as a really nice ambiance. If they do not have the room for your party, you might ask them for another local suggestion. However, they did remodel, so maybe they do have the space.
I've googled up their number for you: (415) 380-2525.
