Rave: Barley and Hops!

While doing some holiday shopping recently in Occidental I had a chance to stop into this new pub/restaurant. They have an excellent selection of local microbrews on tap, plus a surprisingly inexpensive menu of delicious pub food. I had spatzle ($3.50!!) and we were having such a great time we ended up staying for dinner, when I tried the fish & chips, made with local fresh red snapper. Delicious! Best of all was the vibe-the whole place got involved in group conversation. The service was great, too. We all know how difficult it is for a new restaurant to succeed - please stop by and check them out! They open at 4:00 pm daily, in downtown Occidental.
BTW I promise I don't work there or anything, I just had a great experience.:thumbsup:

actually, that's good to know. i looked at some property in that area & really liked Occidental. there were several restaurants, i didn't know where to start. now i know !

i take it "Barley & Hops" is the name of the place.
