Pick your favorite eastern landmark to be in the frame. The moon will be what, 1/2 of 1% closer to Earth than the mean distance? So any size difference will be minimal. But there's projected to be a crystal-clear evening sky too.
The table I saw says moonrise will be around 4:30 pm. That's gonna be real cool, because my planned image of it will include residual daylight on the landscape. I'm going to use a program called Photomatix, which composites more than one image of the same subject, creating an image in which all parts are fairly equally lit. no burn-ins, no washouts. It's usually used with sunset photos. But it should work with moonrise too. It's going to be fairly dark by the time the moon gets a diameter or more above the horizon. But due to the time of day, I should be able to composite an image which includes a sunset lit panorama with a clear full moon. Fingers crossed!
