Hi Everybody!
So, I'm putting on this lovely event called Wacky Winterfest and I invite you to definitely come to everything. But, my favoritist part of it is the California "Ice" Skating Rink for Thursday from 5-8pm. The rink is going to be on the plaza and there will be a band, roasted chestnuts, and IronSanta Cookie Eating Contest and much merry goofiness. Also, it is free.
The thing is, in order for the California Ice to work like a real ice skating rink, everyone needs to have roller skates/blades. Because, as we all know, theres no real ice over here so we're going to be pretending.
The chestnuts are real, by the way.
So I've rented some from a guy down in the city because I can't seem to find any closer (I guess north bay doesn't really have boardwalks to skate on..) and I don't mind that, but was just wondering how many Sebastopolians have skates/blades hanging out, dusty in the garage, that maybe might be loaned out for an event?
of course, it would be chaos, but we could masking tape emails onto the them and coordinate return/pickups.
I'm just afraid that there won't be enough skates.
I just want people to have fun.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you!
