I have undertaken to find a suitable location for this event, and I would like to find a place where David would feel at home. It is to be held on Sunday December 7th from 1 to 6 pm, and all we lack is a place to have it.
I feel it is important that it be in or around Sebastopol, which was David's favorite town, and is probably the geographical center of his circle of friends.
I have checked out most of the local venues, and found them either too large, too institutional, or unavailable. Maybe someone knows one I have missed. I have heard Subud Hall might be suitable, but they have not called me back.
A private house would be wonderful, if it had a space to accommodate 60 or so. There are volunteers for setup and cleanup, food etc.
Money is available for a reasonable rental fee if necessary.
I had been offered the community room at Two Acre Wood, and it was even available (though we would have to end a little earlier there; maybe start earlier too) but the person who offered it was unable to be there in the afternoon, and there is a rule that a resident has to be there during the event. If anyone knows a resident there who knew David, and could be there it would be a perfect space.
Any help gratefully received.
