Hi! I went to the Joan Baez concert Saturday evening. I'm not someone who usually goes to concerts, maybe they all are wonderful, but my experience Saturday night listening to Joan sing, watching her on stage, and in a hall jammed full of spirited people loving her and her music, was a very moving experience. The first album I ever bought, back when I was in high school, was Joan's first LP. I still have it even though my record player hasn't worked since about 1995.
Her voice is soooo beautiful, she sings with such wonderful expression, she sounds so effortless, and her choice of music is stirring. I just really loved being there. I would like to hear from other people who were at the concert.

The first time I saw Joan Baez was in 1966 with Bob Dylan.
I also was at the concert at Wells Fargo and felt the same way. She gets better every time I see her.

As you say, it was very moving. Maybe it was the afterglow of the election, maybe it was the 50 years of experience she has had in appealing to and raising the energy of her audience, maybe it was the vibe of the audience, maybe it was all three (and I think it was), but the three of us who went together were absolutely transfixed and inspired.
