OK, maybe i'm being dense, but 'splain dis fo' me one moah time.
I've gotten another snotty email, as far as i can tell directly from
the member's email account. When this has happened before, i've
thought i was being told a member could get my email address
only if i replied privately. On this one, i was very careful to click
"Reply Publicly," and my reply is posted. How are these distinctly
unconscious people getting my email address?

Hi Moon,
Your email address is also disclosed (though disguised) when people receive individual email notifications of public posts. By default, people are automatically subscribed for individual emails of public replies for threads that they have either started or replied to. Members can also subscribe for individual emails by thread (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3597) or category basis (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=394).
Our guidelines call for people to be respectful whenever communicating with another member, whether publicly or privately. I can take further action on this if you forward your email to me privately.

Ummm define "disguised" please.
In my email program the name is the wacobb.net address not the email address. I click details and see their private email address.
Now their IP info is hidden that is true but you can see it.

Ummm define "disguised" please.
This is how it is disguised:
In my email program the name is the wacobb.net address not the email address. I click details and see their private email address.
Individual email notifications appear to come from <username> @ WaccoBB.net, but that is a "display" email address. You can/need to click details to see the actual email address.
You need to "take off the disguise" to see the real email address.
