Buddies in Sebastopol is having a 25% off sale in honor of Obama's win through next Tuesday. They have gorgeous, natural fiber clothing. Many items are like works of art, decorated with applique, embroidery, fur, unusual shell buttons, etc. Their things are a bit pricey, but it's nice to have a piece that you will enjoy wearing on special occasions for years to come. Sizes range from petite to plus sizes; the styles are flowing and flattering.
I'm not getting a percentage...I just wanted to get the word out!
Go help the economy by shopping!

Usually sales like this are on dead presidents' day. But it is the American (US) way to exploit any occasion for commerce. :) This post seems much like a commercial ad.

I actually appreciate knowing about a good deal, a good store, and unique well made merchandise and Wacco's a fine place to learn about them. I like keeping my money circulating in the local community if I can.

Funny thing is that I agree with both of these observations. Even funnier, there is an area where they come into conflict with each other. Both views have helped me see an inconsistency in my own thinking. They do not completely contradict each other, though. For the most part, I see both interpretations as compatible with one another. This is cool.

Attila, I swear I have no ties with Buddies except as a customer! I was a bit worried that it would seem commercial as I posted it. Yeah, it may be a way for them to 'cash in' or a sincere way to celebrate...I don't know, but I got a sweet discount on a deep red silk blouse. The guy who works there is really nice and has been there for years.:):

I agree with the supporting local business part. But if we want to "honor" Obama's election victory, we citizens need to voice our concerns loudly so that Obama is not solely influenced by the circle of ruling class elite who set the agenda in our absence. Wasn't it Bush Jr. who made the brilliant suggestion after 9/11, don't worry, go shopping?
