Extra-wide digests

Today for the third or fourth time recently, the Digest was twice its usual width, making it impossible to read on a regular screen. The culprit appears to be (and has been the last few times) a post entitled "ForSale: Bookcase, white, 70" tall - $50" which contains an enormous picture, turned sideways.

Is it not possible to either filter out large images or rewrite the html so that the digest fits in the window rather than being fixed width?

Failing either solution, would someone just buy the darned bookcase, please?

Ooops! It's not possible to filter out the images at this time. This is one of the concerns that is behind my intention to remove most the of the content of the posts from the digest and instead have the table of contents link to the post on the website and also make the digest available online.
